In an effort to help protect both my clients and myself, the Government of Ontario, Sola Salon Studios & I have developed a list of the following requirements. These will need to be in place and practiced upon the reopening of my Salon Studio. There may be additional requirements by the Province or City and if so I will keep you posted.
Please know that this is in an effort to keep us all healthy and in business!
Scheduling your appointment: I will be in touch with everyone on my waiting list starting with those who had appointments cancelled in March/April/May. I’m going paperless so I’ll need to get all your information as if you were a “NEW” client to create a profile for you. Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a text and/or email reminder. I will email you a copy of my “NEW POLICIES & PROCEDURES” by the end of that day. I will also email you a questionnaire that will need to be filled out and submitted either the night before or the morning of your appointment. PLEASE DO NOT FILL IT OUT ANY EARLIER THAN THAT OR IT WILL BE INVALID!
Deposits: A deposit of $25 for a Haircut and/or Blow dry appointment, $75 deposit for colour, highlight and perm appointments and a 50% deposit for Keratin Treatment and Hair Straightening appointments is required at this time. This is a non-refundable deposit however will be used toward your service on the day of your appointment. Your deposit will be carried over to hold your new appointment date if you are unable to come and have cancelled your appointment within the 48 hours required. If you are unable to give the 48 hours cancellation notice due to Covid-19, your deposit will be carried over to your new appointment date 14 days after your original appointment.

CANCELLATIONS: My CANCELLATION & NO SHOW policy is in full effect as I have a long list of clients waiting to get in. You can find this on my website www.hairbyalexsalon.com under FAQ & POLICIES
Clients in Studio: I will only be allowing 1 client in my Studio at a time. I ask that if you are with other people that they please wait outside of the building as we are not allowing anyone to wait in the hallways at this time. If a friend or family member has an appointment following yours, they will have to wait outside of the building or in their car until the time of their appointment, unless you both live in the same household, in this case I will allow 2 people in the studio.
Sola Salon Studios will have a hand washing station in one of the empty rooms as well as hand sanitizer at the entrance and throughout the hallways. You will be required to wash your hands upon entering. I will also have hand sanitizer in my studio.
Although the government is allowing friends and family to hug, I’m going to ask that we refrain from hugging at this time as I need to stay healthy for each and everyone of you. I miss you all so much and can’t wait for things to get back to normal so I can give you all a hug!
Facemasks and gloves: Facemasks will be mandatory inside Sola Salon Studios. If you do not have a facemask, I will have disposable ones available. Gloves are optional but if needed will be available as well.
Arriving to your appointment: When you arrive for your appointment, I ask that you remain in your car and either text or call to let me know you are here. I will need time to disinfect my Studio before allowing another client in. I will do my best to book enough extra time so that I can be on time for each and every appointment. Once I’m ready for you I will text or call you to let you know I’m ready. I will meet you at the door to ensure you are wearing a mask and if you don’t have one, I will have one for you.
Upon entering the Studio: I ask that you wash your hands at the hand washing station as well as use the hand sanitizer that I will have available inside my studio throughout your appointment. We have been asked to remove all magazines and business cards temporarily. My Studio will be clean and disinfected along with all my tools and the cape and towels being used are put in the hamper to be washed after every use. I’ve ordered a contactless thermometer to check your temperature and will email you a questionnaire called STATEMENT OF HEALTH for you to fill out and submit before you arrive for your appointment.
Beverages: Beverages will not be available until further notice. You are welcome to bring your own beverage but it must be in a closed container. Food will not be allowed in the studio at all!
Salon hours: In an effort to try to accommodate everyone, I will be working more hours and possibly extra days to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible. I work by appointment only and DO NOT TAKE WALK INS.
